Campbell Transportation Company, Inc. (CTC) is a regional barge line that operates on the Upper Ohio River. We have been in business for over 60 years. CTC owns and operates a fleet of 20 boats and 420 open hopper barges, including a growing fleet of 160 jumbo barges which is one of the youngest in the country.
CTC specializes in servicing large industrial customers that are seeking multi-year barge transportation agreements. Although we handle a variety of commodities for customers, we move mostly coal to both the utility and steel industries. Our goal is to provide our entire customer base with superior service at competitive rates.
C&C's main activity is providing third-party marine services such as towing, repairs, fleeting and cleaning. It operates two landing facilities in the greater Pittsburgh area, one at Clairton on the Monongahela and another at Georgetown on the Ohio.
C&C Marine Maintenance, Inc. (C&C) was founded in the mid-1960's at its current location at Georgetown, Pennsylvania, below the Montgomery lock at mile 39.5 on the Ohio River. With extensive facilities and about 100 employees, C&C Georgetown provides a wide range of marine services to the barge industry. Our services, emphasizing quick turnaround times for customers, include:

We are particularly proud that our Georgetown location is the home of an innovative Washwater Treatment Barge that was designed by C&C specifically to treat water used in cleaning barges before it is discharged back into the river. This is the first facility of its kind on the upper Ohio, and it clearly demonstrates our commitment to protecting the marine environment while providing top-quality service to our customers.
