Fiscal Year 2019 Safety Performance



I am happy to share that as a company CTC completed the month of September 2019 with ZERO incidents! CTC’s overall Safety Performance for fiscal year ending 9/30/2019 was very strong! In fact, we achieved another record-breaking year in Safety!

Safety excellence truly is the measure of success for CTC. We will continue our efforts each and every day to provide the resources needed to ensure that every CTC employee has the opportunity to come to work and return home having worked safely. Our safety culture is very much rooted in our overall business strategy and will remain at the core of everything we do at CTC. I couldn’t be prouder of the safety performance achieved by all our employees!

As of today, October 1, 2019:
• Linehaul vessels have worked 56 days without a Lost Time Injury.
CTC Vessel Operations finished the Fiscal Year with a 0.43 Lost Time Injury Rate (RECORD BREAKING!)
• Harbor Vessels have worked 547 days without a Lost Time Injury.
• All Shoreside Employees have worked 80 days without a Lost Time Injury.
-Georgetown – 159 days worked without a Lost Time Injury.
Congo – 2,870 days worked without a Lost Time Injury.
-Dunlevy – 367 days worked without a Lost Time Injury.
• All CTC Employees have worked 526 days without a Man Overboard. (RECORD BREAKING!)
• All CTC Employees have worked 616 days without an environmental incident (spill). (RECORD BREAKING!)

CTC experienced:

4 Lost Time Injuries in Fiscal Year 2019 vs. 6 Total Lost Time Injuries in Fiscal Year 2018. Very nice job!
-Our Lost Time Injury rate improved from 1.03 in Fiscal Year 2018 to 0.69 in Fiscal Year 2019. CTC’s previous best year was Fiscal Year 2017 when we achieved a Lost Time Injury Rate of 0.70. Very nice job! (RECORD BREAKING!)
10 Recordable Injuries in Fiscal Year 2019 vs. 13 Recordable Injuries in Fiscal Year 2018. (23% improvement year-over-year!)
• 0 Environmental Incidents in Fiscal Year 2019 vs. 3 Total Environmental Incidents in Fiscal Year 2018. Very nice job! (RECORD BREAKING!)
• 6 Navigational Incidents in Fiscal Year 2019 vs. 5 Total Navigational Incidents in Fiscal Year 2018.

Today, I want to thank you for your attention to safety and for your ongoing efforts to eliminate injuries, MOB’s, navigational incidents, and spills. Please do everything you can personally to maintain this strong momentum as we move into the new Fiscal Year. I’m excited to see what 2020 has in store for Campbell Transportation Company.
